Portland + Seattle

What a dream. Traveling brings so much inspiration. Architecture, coffee shops, people, all types of people, weather, lifestyle, busy city streets, giant mountains, green trees, white buildings, all types of buildings. All types of inspiration.

This is our cozy, delightful Airbnb in Portland.

I loved feeling like a local, sipping french press coffee with the city street sounds right outside.

All of the neutrals and plants and natural light... perfect for my minimalist heart.

My favorite coffee shops in Portland:

Stumptown + Barista. Cortado: espresso with steamed milk, but less milk than a latte so you can really taste the rich espresso.

I ordered one at each coffee shop on the trip. So. Good.

Favorite Portland eats: Bamboo Sushi (we sat at the bar and ordered the sushi chef's recommendations), Pok Pok (so authentic and worth the wait), Roman Candle (the nutella toast), Salt and Straw (we got a pint of the freckled woodblock chocolate).

Thanks to recommendations from friends!

Pike Place Market. My favorite morning.

We were there right as it opened with the smell of coffee in the air and all of the hustle of the city in the morning.

We got doughnuts from The Daily Dozen inside of the market. They take the hot doughnuts, put them in a brown paper bag, and pour cinnamon and sugar all over. Yep.

We walked around with our $5 bouquets of gorgeous summertime blossoms. It was so much fun.

This is KK, the best friend + travel companion!

Bakeries are my favorite. Especially the kind with strong coffee and all kinds of croissants.

Like, The London Plane.

Another cortado at the delightful Elm Coffee.

I loved the atmosphere and the espresso was so rich and good.

We ended our trip with a Whole Foods picnic looking over the water + city at Gas Works Park.

It doesn't get much better.

See you soon, PNW. Very soon.
